About Torilyn's

Torilyn's (that's me on the right)
has been in the making, well..........forever. As a kid, growing up, I loved baking. Those beaters, loaded with batter or frosting - pure, yummy joy! Baking was a way for me to express myself and I became particularly interested in baking when I moved to the beautiful state of Colorado at the age of 16. It was a difficult time to have to move and start over with making new friends and the altitude change between Chicago and Denver presented an entirely new set of problems. Baking was therapeutic for me during those difficult teenage years (and WAY cheaper than a shrink!) and I made it my mission to learn to bake at high altitude.

Over the years, my passion for baking continued. It's such a warm feeling to spend the time and effort to bake something special from scratch. I loved to bake for my friends, family, school events, fundraisers, etc. And, in September of 2007, my life was forever altered on a girls trip to California. It was then that I walked into my first ever cupcake bakery! I fell in love with the concept and came back to Denver and immediately began formulating a business plan and testing recipes. That was five years ago and I've never looked back.

When I'm not in the kitchen baking, I'm either crafting, reading, writing, playing tennis, or spending time with one of the other three loves of my life.....my children
- Lexie, Brandon and Chandler. Watching them grow up has been the most wonderful experience of my entire life. And, God bless them, they have been wonderful taste testers over the years!!!
